In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to identify power issues with your patio shade. The first thing to check is the remote control. A weak or dead battery can prevent the shade from operating. Try replacing the batteries and see if that restores functionality. Next, take a look at your power source. If your system is hardwired, check your electrical panel to see if a breaker has tripped. If you find a tripped breaker, flip it off and then back on to reset it. This can often resolve unexpected power interruptions. If you’ve checked the breaker and still don’t have power it’s possible a GFI has tripped and needs to be reset. We recommend resetting all GFI outlets in your home. Simply locate the outlet’s “Reset” button and press it. This often restores power without the need for additional troubleshooting. Once you’ve checked these items, test the shade again using the remote. If it still doesn’t respond, the issue could be with the motor or internal wiring, in which case contact us. And that’s it.
