Transcript

In this video, we will walk you through the steps to replace or switch operator sides on a clutch roller shade. Follow along to ensure a smooth, damage-free process. Start by removing the shade from the brackets if applicable. Carefully unroll the fabric to expose the clutch and idler. Starting on the clutch end, use a flathead screwdriver to gently push the clutch out of the roller tube. If needed gently tap the back of the screwdriver as shown, to safely remove the clutch. Repeat this process on the idler side.  Carefully insert the clutch into the desired side of the tube, making sure the tube’s internal ridge aligns between the fins of the clutch. If needed, carefully use a rubber mallet to fully seat the clutch into the tube. Repeat this process with the idler. Gently roll the fabric back onto the tube. Reinstall the shade by sliding the clutch end onto the clutch bracket, ensuring the bead chain hangs straight down. Then install the idler end into its bracket. Rotate the hook to lock it in. If applicable, reinstall the fascia front cover or cassette.  And that’s it. Thanks for watching. For more information and videos, visit insolroll.com.
