The Metal Select chain guide has been tested by an independent testing laboratory for UV degradation, impact tolerance, and pull tests to meet the new standards. The Insolroll Quiet Spring Roller (QSR) System is cordless for windows that are within reach of most adults and available with a single cord for taller windows. QSR shades have an adjustable top stop and are easier to operate than traditional spring operated shades.
Manufacturers of corded window coverings have been challenged by consumer advocacy groups and the Consumer Product Safety Commission to eliminate accidental child strangulation from window blind cords. The latest version of the standards must be implemented on June 1, 2013.
