Insolroll® Quiet Motor System (IQM)

For applications demanding motorized window treatments that operate in virtual silence Insolroll® Quiet Motors (IQM) incorporate the latest in noise reduction technology.  Insolroll’s standard motors operate at 52 decibels and are acceptable in many applications. IQM Motors operate at approximately 44 dB from a distance of 3 feet away. This represents a 50% reduction in the noise produced by a standard motor. In addition the distinctive click heard when a standard motor starts up is also eliminated.

Insolroll AC and DC Quiet Motor Systems (IQM)

Insolroll® Quiet Motors are available in both 110 volt AC and 24 volt DC versions.The prewire requirements, control options, home automation interfacing options and switching options used for standard motors remain the same. IQM motor has been incorporated into Insolroll® Interior Solar Screen Shade Motorization Systems.

NEW Insolroll ® Quiet Motor Hardware Upgrades

Insolroll has made a hardware upgrade to our IQM-AC motor products to further reduce mechanical noise in our Quiet Motor Systems. 

Silent Pin idler & bracket system

All IQM-AC shades for exposed roller, custom pocket, and 5” pocket applications will include a new bracket and idler system. Our NEW Silent Pin™ Idler requires a different bracket configuration to capture the idler pin and allow the shade to rotate around an internal quiet bronze bushing.  The new Silent Pin idler and bracket system is not available with 4” fascia, dual shade bracket, coupled shades, or 5 5/8” pocket (The existing bracket and idler system will remain unchanged for these configurations).
