In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to tighten the cable on your patio shade. There are two ways to reapply tension to cables on your patio shade. For the first way, use a 1/2” wrench (or a crescent wrench) to loosen the upper nut. Then, tighten the lower nut to pull the tension bolt down through the bracket, which will tighten the cable. Keep checking the tension to make sure it’s not too tight. Once it feels taut, re-tighten the upper nut to secure. For the second way, slightly loosen the crimping screw with a flat head screwdriver. Pull the cable tight with pliers and retighten the crimping screw once taut. And that’s it. Thanks for watching, and check out our other videos for more helpful tips.
